@WeAreSoScrewed (continued) Sure I disagree with the bailiff, even though he was the usual amiable person I know at this courthouse where I defend clients all the time. There is a difference between the passive resistance mentioned in my video about saying “no” versus leaving when a bailiff or police officer says to do so, when I have the option, which I am exercising, of taking the matter up with the authority he thought was needed to bring it up to.

@WeAreSoScrewed I drafted a letter to the county’s chief District Court judge telling him what happened, and attaching a proposed order to allow anybody to photograph and videotape outside the courthouse. I was with my part-time assistant who was showing me how to use the video camera, so this was not merely a matter of me alone deciding what to do. I would have not known how to operate the equipment without her.

Please answer a question for me. Why didn’t you stand up for your rights to the balliff that asked you to leave. You knew you had every right to film outside the courthouse without the “judge’s permission”, yet you left anyway. You’ve let the balliff know that he can continue to harrass other law abiding photographers / videographers. You talk about flexing your rights, but you backed down when it happened to you…
